KL Community Hubs are where we as a family meet in homes within our localities around the city to build Jesus-centred relationships whilst breaking bread, digging deeper in bible study, praying for each other and what we sense is on the Father's heart... encountering Jesus... TOGETHER.
AS A GROWING COMMUNITY, THE HUBS ARE IMPORTANT TO FACILIATE
FELLOWSHIP – real family bond/friendship where people meet together anywhere to spend time with each other to build Christ-centred relationships through prayer, bible study, having a meal, having a laugh, or going for a walk, etc.
DISCIPLESHIP – we are all called to make disciples. There has been more of a focus on raising up leaders than disciples. Discipleship isn’t just an individual’s journey. As the African proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child.”, so it is in discipleship. Journeying together from believing to following to becoming more and more like Christ – denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Him. This is a real journey.
PASTORAL CARE – everyone needs pastoral care. Unfortunately, the pastors are limited in their ability to come alongside every person. Part of joining a Community Hub is pastoral care - having a cuppa, a chat, a prayer, a visit from your local Hub Group leader.
Jesus Centred Relationships – growing our relationship with God is measured by our relationship with each other. In the Community Hub setting, it is important to view this aspect of church life like a garden. Plants grow best when the environment and atmosphere is just right. Likewise, most people grow in a healthy environment that allows Jesus to be in the centre of the group and the relationships that form.
growing deeper roots in Jesus, building your life upon a rock with people who desire to encourage you in living the Kingdom Life of Jesus.
Our Hubs meet in seasons of up to 12 weeks with a break during in line with local school calendars. The aim of the Hub groups is to spread into various localities in the city on different days and times throughout the midweek.
North Manchester, Central Manchester, East Manchester, West Manchester, South Manchester, Care Home Hub groups, Sage, Worship Team, and many more on the horizon.
Acts 2:42-47:
Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion, and coming together regularly for prayer. A deep sense of holy awe swept over everyone, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. All the Believers were in fellowship as One Body, and they shared with one another whatever they had. Out of generosity they even sold their assets to distribute the proceeds to those who were in need among them. Daily they met together in the temple courts and in one another's homes to celebrate communion. They shared meals together with joyful hearts and tender humility. They were continually filled with praises to God, enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily, those who were coming to life.
